  • TESOL is a global association of Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages. The website connects you to information about upcoming conferences, resources, professional development opportunities, publications, and local affiliates. EATE, the Estonian Association of Teachers of English, is the local affiliate for TESOL and IATEFL.
  • National Council of Teachers of English is an organization primarily for teachers in the U.S., but there are interesting issues about education and language arts on their website. You might find it an interesting place to explore.
  • English Teaching Forum is a quarterly journal published by the U.S. Department of State for teachers of English as a foreign or second language. This site contains articles from issues of the Forum dating back to 1993. The publications contain submissions from English language teachers around the world. Most of the authors published in English Teaching Forum are classroom teachers.
  • National Association for the Education of Young Children is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age 8. Founded in 1926, NAEYC is the world's largest organization working on behalf of young children with nearly 100,000 members, a national network of over 300 local, state, and regional Affiliates, and a growing global alliance of like-minded organizations.
  • The National Association for Bilingual Education, which represents both English language and bilingual education professionals representing most of the languages spoken in the world. NABE has affiliates in affiliates in 23 states, for a combined membership of more than 20,000 bilingual and English-as-a-second-language teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, university professions, researchers, advocates, policy makers and parents.
  • Edutopia is a publication and website celebrating and encouraging innovation in schools. It is sponsored by the George Lucas Foundation.
  • National Capital Language Resource Center (NCLRC)The essentials of language teaching. This site gives college and university instructors and teaching assistants an introduction to the language teaching methods that are currently used in U.S. universities.
  • Teacher Leaders Network is an active community of talented teacher leaders from across the nation, dedicated to student success and the transformation of teaching into a true profession.
  • Educators for Social Responsibility helps educators create safe, caring, respectful, and productive learning environments. We also help educators work with young people to develop the social skills, emotional competencies, and qualities of character they need to succeed in school and become contributing members of their communities.
