• Topic and aim are clearly stated, and preparation materials, if necessary, are provided

• Facilitator leads discussion towards an aim through preparation and questions.

• The facilitator carefully monitors the timing of the discussion.

• Ask open questions.

• Listeners actively “hook in” to discussion.

• No conversational terrorism is practiced here.
