Pre-seminar assignment: Quick and Dirty Tips
As part of your participation in the seminar, you will be required to complete some pre-seminar homework. Here is what you need to do before coming to class.
1. Visit the website "Grammar Girl's Quick and Dirty Tips for Writing" and browse the topics listed on the main page as well as the full list of archived topics.
2. Choose an episode that you find interesting, either because you share the same grammar question or you think it will be something new for you to learn, and email your episode choice to Jennifer.
3. Listen to your selected episode either online or by downloading it onto your computer. Most episodes are 3-5 minutes long. There is also a written response on the website to accompany your listening. Take notes as you listen. Jot down any questions that you have from the material.
4. Bring your grammar tip and/or questions to class, and be prepared to share.
